Trip Grades
Each of our trip is assigned a difficulty rating: Levels 1 - 5. Below is a detailed description of each level of difficulty.
For individuals who have any medical contraindications for physical activity we do not recommend choosing trips of the 3rd – 5th levels in order not to endanger themselves.
Level 1 : Light
- Type of trip : Cultural – Sightseeing with light activities like city walk.
- Terrain : Major cities in the plains.
- Age Limit : Anyone can join.
- Physical Fitness: Normal. Even guests with movement difficulty can join.
- Activity : City walk, Climbing stairs.
- Stay : Comfortable hotel.
- Transfers : Comfortable Vehicles.
- Connectivity : Excellent.
- Medical Support / Hospitalization : Available.
Level 2 : Easy
- Type of trip : Cultural – Sightseeing, light wlaking & wildlife safaris.
- Terrain : Cities, plains & Hill areas near national parks.
- Age Limit : Children below 6 years not allowed in national parks.
- Physical Fitness: Normal. Even guests with movement difficulty can join with support.
- Activity : City walks. Riding in safari vehicles on rough forest roads for 3-4 hours.
- Stay : Comfortable hotel.
- Transfers : Comfortable Vehicles. Safari vehicles tend to be cramped.
- Connectivity : Good.
- Medical Support / Hospitalization : 3 – 6 hours by road to the nearest major city.
Level 3 : Active
- Type of trip : Active trips in offbeat destinations.
- Terrain : Mountain areas, bumpy roads.
- Age Limit : 12 – 70.
- Physical Fitness: Good. Should be able to take short hikes of 2-3 hours.
- Activity : Short hikes in mountain / forest trails, Cycling, Rafting.
- Stay : Basic accommodation, guesthouse, homestays.
- Transfers : Comfortable Vehicles.
- Connectivity : Sporadic.
- Medical Support / Hospitalization 6-8 hours by road to the nearest major city.
Level 4 : Difficult
- Type of trip : High altitude trekking that can last multiple days, for 5-7 days duration.
- Terrain : High altitude mountain areas.
- Age Limit : 14 – 70.
- Physical Fitness: Good physical fitness and needs at least 2 months’ preparation for the trip.
- Activity : Trekking in high-altitude areas 2-4 hrs every day.
- Stay : Camping & homestays.
- Transfers : Four wheel drive.
- Connectivity : None, during the trek days.
- Medical Support / Hospitalization : Difficult.
Level 5 : Intense
- Type of trip : High altitude trekking that can last multiple days for 10 – 15 days duration.
- Terrain : High altitude mountain areas.
- Age Limit : 18 – 60.
- Physical Fitness: High level of physical fitness and needs at least 4 months’ intense preparation for the trip.
- Activity : Trekking in high-altitude areas 6 - 8 hrs every day.
- Stay : Camping.
- Transfers : Four wheel drive.
- Connectivity : None, during the trek days.
- Medical Support / Hospitalization : Difficult.
